The Shark Conservation organization Iemanya held the first Shark Affair Event in the city of Long Beach, California on October 2&3, 2010. The purpose was to raise awareness about ocean conservation and inform the public about the status of sharks and their importance in the marine environment.

Thanks to the support of dedicated volunteers and Body Glove, Reef Check was able to participate in the event and though the voices of our volunteers speak with the public about the importance of monitoring and sustainable development in coastal management.
